Grapes, eggshells and clouds.
Given the task to design an identity for an exhibition based on an Australian artist, I chose Janet Dawson.
Dawsons work is incredibly enticing and engaging, with her art strongly centered around the abstract and peculiar.

The name of the exhibition “grapes, eggshells and clouds” was put together as it too is quite abstract and doesn’t quite go together, however much of her artwork was based in painting rotting vegetables, or compost, as well as the skies and nature.
The typography was created using paint, to emmulate the character of Janet Dawsons abstract and unusual, yet enticing work. Additionally, I decided to hand-make the lettering to show the lines and strokes in each letter, as much of her work was based in the textures and details of lines and shapes.
